ISNHS 121st Celebrated its High School Day

                      One of the celebrations in Junior High School is High School Day. On March 25, 2023, the Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated its 121st High School Day with the theme "Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity." The event began at 8:00 a.m., a Thanksgiving Mass followed by program at 10:00 a.m. and arriving at 1:00 p.m., The Field Demo has begun.



                   The Teacher's Choirs led the singing of the Lupang Hinirang, the Philippine National Anthem, Region 1 Hymn, Ilocos Sur Hymn, Vigan City Hymn, and the ISNHS Hymn as part of the program. Mrs. Editha C. Bagcal, Principal IV of Ilocos Sur National High School, opened her welcome address, and Ms. Gemma Q. Tacuycuy, CESO V, School Division Superintendent, delivered a message. Furthermore, the 10-Maxwell of Hip-hop performed Intermission, followed by the Guest Speaker, Mr. Joseph Q. Obrero, Head Teacher IV in the ESP Department. Following that, Atty. Anne Joy C. Lazo, Outstanding Alumna Class of 2010, gave an inspiring speech. Afterwards, Plaques of Recognition were presented to the Guest Speaker, with an intermission number of Teacher's Choir and the awarding of Outstanding Teachers, Employees, and Retirees. Finally, Mr. Rommel R. Rabo, Assistant Principal II, SHS, expressed his appreciation.

        



                    During the Field Demo, selected students from Grades 7 to 12 and teachers from various faculties demonstrated their talent in dancing such as Galaw Pilipinas. Furthermore, through the Festival Dance of Grade 9-Becquerel, Briggs, Camagong, Banaba, Boyle, Apitong, Almaciga, and Cinamon, students demonstrated products such as Longganisa, Empanada, Mais, Panagbenga, Bangus, and Binatbatan. Following that, Grade 10 students Maxwell, Agoncillio, and Mabini performed Hip-hop. At last, teachers from various faculties participate in various traditional Filipino games.

    
                   Many guests, teachers, and students attended the Thanksgiving Mass, the Program, and especially the Field Demo to commemorate the 121st High School Day of the Ilocos Sur National High School Day. It cannot be denied that the true satisfaction in life is due to the talents we bring forth. The audience were delighted by the talent displayed by the students of Ilocos Sur National High School. Remember what Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe said, "The person born with a talent they are meant to use will find their greatest happiness in using it".
