Children: Wealth in the Hands of the Future

Do you still remember the old saying that "Youth is the hope of the people"? Perhaps nowadays, people have forgotten that. The former hope of the people has become the center of dirty issues of the society. Some have realized that young people can no longer be trusted. I will let you know these issues that have caused a negative view among today's youth.

Groups of young people who break the silence of the surroundings are now scattered in urban areas. They are the groups of young people, whether female or male, called Gang or Fraternity. The roots of today's disturbances on the roads and even in schools. Many of today's youth join this type of organization because they think they will be safe from the violence and judgment of the crowd. Based on what you see on television, many young people have died because of this organization. May have died in riots or hazing.

Are you also noticing an increase in women with bulging bellies? This is perhaps the most widespread issue today regarding young people. This is the result of relationships between young people who are not aware of what they are doing. Young people who engage in premarital sex or early sex before they are adults. Because of this issue, women who become pregnant are forced to have an abortion. Abortion is also one of the current issues concerning young people. Pregnant women abort their children because they are afraid of the responsibility they will face.

Another reason why elders are losing trust in young people is because of their involvement in many crimes and addiction to bad vices. Street youth are often involved in such situations. Street children who are taught to survive in the dark and cling to knives. Addicted to bad habits to fill a growling stomach. Even if you try to change, you will still go back to your habits.

As a young person, I also wanted a change. I want to restore the old energy of the youth. I want to bring back the former youth who are changing society in a good way.

On March 25, 2023, the Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated its 121st High School Day with the theme "Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity." A Reflection of One's own Efforts I learned a lot in ICT. Like HTML where I am amazed by the activities. Here in the ICT subject, I have many things that can be applied in my life. I also believed that a person's life can be compared to a rainbow, a symbol that is full of color and does not know where the border is and where the destination is. Since my childhood I have had dreams to achieve in life. Simple and small dreams that for my father and mother bring great joy and happiness.
